Jessica Simpson was born in Abilene, Texas on July 10,1980. She rose to fame starting in 1990 with the release of her debut album, Sweet Kisses. That album stayed on the Billboard 200 for a total of 60 weeks and has sold over two million copies. The album spawned two hit singles, I Think I’m In Love With You and I Wanna Love You Forever. To promote the album she toured with the boy band 98 Degrees where she met her future husband Nick Lachey. In 2001 she released her sophomore album Irresistable, which has subsequently sold 825,000 units. 2002 was the pivotal year for Jessica Simpson both personally and professionally. She married Nick Lachey and the couple was signed to a reality show for MTV entitled "Newlyweds: Nick And Jessica". Jessica Simpson also released "In This Skin" that year and scheduled it to coincide with the start of the series. In This Skin would go on to sell over seven million copies and the television series became a cultural phenomenon. In 2005, Jessica Simpson made her film debut with her role as Daisy Duke on movie version of the television series The Dukes Of Hazard. This was also the year that the marriage between her and Nick Lachey would end in divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. She than went on to star in three other films which include Employee Of The Month, Blonde Ambition and Major Movie Star. She has since starred in several television commercials for Pizza Hut and Proactiv as well as launching a line of beauty products on the Home Shopping Network.
