Sheryl Crow is an American singer & songwriter born on February 11, 1962 in Kennett, Missouri. While studying at Kennett High School, Crow was a majorette and an All-State track athlete. She then enrolled at the University of Missouri, in Columbia, and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Composition, Performance and Education. While in college, Sheryl Crow sang in a local band, Cashmere. After graduating from college, Crow worked as a music teacher at the Kellison elementary school, in Fenton, Missouri. She was then introduced to local musician and producer Jay Oliver. He had a recording studio in the basement of his parents’ home, in St. Louis, and helped her by using her in advertising jingles. In 1993, she got her first big break and released her debut album, Tuesday Night Music Club. The album peaked at number three and would eventually go on to sell over five million units. Sheryl Crow then released her sophomore self-titled album in 1996. It would go on to peak at number five on U.S charts and at number six on U.K. charts. Sheryl Crow has since released four more albums. On July 15, 2008 she sang the National Anthem at the All Star Game at Yankee Stadium in Bronx, NY.

Three 6 Mafia

Three 6 Mafia formed in 1991 by DJ Paul, Lord Infamous, and Juicy J, they shortly thereafter recruited fellow rappers Koopsta Knicca, Gangsta Boo, and Crunchy Black. They originally hail from Memphis, Tennessee. In 1995, Three 6 Mafia released their debut album, Mystic Stylez. In 1996, they released their follow up album, Chapter 1: The End. Their third album, Chapter 2: World Domination, was released in 1997 and has sold over eight hundred thousand copies to date. Their fourth album was released in 2000 and titled "When the Smoke Clears: Sixty 6, Sixty 1". It includes smash hits such as "Who Run It", "Tongue Ring", and "Sippin On Some Syrup". This is the first album by Three 6 Mafia that went platinum. Three 6 Mafia has since released five albums which include Choices: The Album in 2001, Da Unbreakables in 2003, Choices II: The Setup in 2005, Most Known Unknown also in 2005 and Last 2 Walk in 2008. On June 7, 2006, Sony officially acknowledged the departure of original Three 6 Mafia member, Crunchy Black. He stated his reason for departure was to make a solo album that DJ Paul and Juicy J had allegedly put off for years, with most of the material being used for Most Known Unknown. Thereafter Three 6 Mafia consisted just of remaining members DJ Paul and Juicy J.

Shinedown

Shinedown is an American rock band from Jacksonville, Florida, formed in 2001 by Brent Smith, Brad Stewart, Jasin Todd, and Barry Kerch. Atlantic Records signed the band in 2002 and they released their debut album, Leave a Whisper in 2003. It peaked at number fifty three on the Billboard 200 and spawned a number of hit singles which include "Fly from the Inside", "45" and "Simple Man". Leave a Whisper is Shinedown’s best-selling album and has been certified platinum by the RIAA in the United States. In October of 2005 Shinedown released their sophomore album, Us and Them. The album had three singles, Save Me", "Heroes" and "I Dare You". Us and Them has been certified Gold by the RIAA in the United States, even though it is the band’s least successful album to date. Shinedown’s third album, and their latest is titled "The Sound of Madness". It was released on June 24, 2008. The album’s lead single, "Devour", was released to radio on May 5, 2008. Every single they have released has climbed into the Top 5 of the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and to date, Shinedown has sold over six million albums worldwide.

Cassidy

Cassidy is the stage name of Barry Adrian Reese. He was born on July 7, 1982 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Cassidy received some fame after he won a freestyle battle with Roc-A-Fella artist Freeway. Cassidy recorded his first album, Split Personality in 2003. The record is divided into three parts: The first is credited to Cassidy and reflects his pop side, the second, credited as "Tha Problem," aims at fans of his mixtapes and the third is credited to B. Reese from fans from his early days. In 2004, Cassidy released his second studio album, I’m a Hustla. It includes the singles I’m a Hustla and B-Boy Stance. It debuted at number five on the U.S. Billboard 200, with 93,000 copies sold in the first week. On January 24, 2006, Cassidy was convicted of involuntary manslaughter and two counts of aggravated assault for a local drive-by with Larsiny Family. Cassidy shot two people that night, and was sentenced to eleven-and-a-half to 23 months in jail and was credited with the 7 months he had already served. Cassidy was released from Pennsylvania’s Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility on March 2, 2006 after serving eight months. After that he then went on to release his third studio album, B.A.R.S. The Barry Adrian Reese Story.
