David Cook was born in Houston, Texas on December 20, 1982. Though he was born in Texas he was raised in Blue Springs, Missouri, which is a satellite city of Kansas City, Missouri. His parents are Beth Frye and Stanley Cook and he is the youngest of three children. David Cook began singing in second grade, when his elementary school music teacher gave him a part in a school Christmas performance. He proceeded to perform in virtually every Christmas and PTA program. He received his first guitar at the age of 12. It was a Fender Stratocaster. He released his debut album, Analog Heart in May 2006. David Cook auditioned for the seventh season of American Idol in Nebraska. He won the seventh season of American Idol on May 21, 2008, receiving 56 percent of the votes, with 12 million votes over David Archuleta, the runner-up. Cook then sang "The Time of My Life", the winning song of the 2008 American Idol Songwriter’s Competition. He released his self titled second album in November of 2008. It has since been certified platinum. David Cook’s eldest brother, Adam, battled brain cancer since 1998[6] and died at 11:52 P.M. on Saturday, May 2, 2009.

LeAnn Rimes is the stage name of Margaret LeAnn Rimes. She was born on August 28, 1982 in Pearl, Mississippi. She was singing by the age of two, was enrolled into vocal and dance training, and by the age of five was performing at local talent shows. By the age of nine, Rimes was already an experienced singer. She toured nationally with her father and also regularly performed a cappella renditions of "The Star Spangled Banner" at the opening ceremonies of the Dallas Cowboys football games. In order to bring his daughter more national attention, he began recording her under the independent label, Nor Ja Vak when she turned eleven. She released three albums under the label between 1992 and 1996. LeAnn Rimes first major studio release was Blue. It was released in July of 1996 and it reached number three on the Billboard Hot 200 album chart, and number-one on Hot Country Albums. She has since released eight more albums. Since her debut, LeAnne Rimes has won many major industry awards, which include two Grammys, three ACMs, one CMA, twelve Billboard Music Awards, and one American Music award and placed over forty singles on American and international charts since 1996.

Atreyu is an American metalcore band that was formed in 1 998 in Orange County, California. The band consists of vocalist/lyricist Alex Varkatzas, guitarists Dan Jacobs and Travis Miguel, bassist Marc McKnight and drummer/vocalist Brandon Saller. The band was originally named "Retribution" but later changed their name to "Atreyu" after the character of the same name from the fantasy book (movie) The Neverending Story when they found out that another band had been using their original name. Atreyu released their debut album, Suicide Notes and Butterfly Kisses on June 4, 2002, under Victory Records. The album has sold more than 240,000 copies worldwide to date. In the summer of 2002, Atreyu released their second studio album, The Curse. The album went on to produce two singles, "Right Side of the Bed" and "The Crimson.". Atreyu released, A Death-Grip on Yesterday, their third album on March 28, 2006. A week after its release, it had sold more than 69,000 copies and started out at #9 on the Billboard 200. It has gone on to sell more than 340,000 copies. Atreyu has since released Lead Sails Paper Anchor, their fourth album in 2007.
