Nickelback is a Canadian rock band that was formed in 1995 in Alberta, Canada. It was formed by members Chad Kroeger, Mike Kroeger, Ryan Peake and then-drummer Brandon Kroeger, who has since been replaced by drummer Daniel Adair. Its name originates from the nickel in change that band member Mike Kroeger gave customers at his Starbucks job, he would frequently say, "Here’s your nickel back". In April of 1996 they released their first EP, Hesher. In the same year Nickelback recorded their first full-length album Curb. It sold 100,000 copies as an independent release. Their sophomore album was released in 1998 and was entitled The State. It held a peak position of #130 on the Billboard 200, which beat the Curbs peak position of #182. The third album that Nickelback released, and the one that is considered their break through effort was Silver Side Up. It was released on September 11, 2001. It spawned the singles "How You Remind Me", "Too Bad" and "Never Again". The album has since sold over five million copies. In 2003, Nickelback released The Long Road. This album was certified triple Platinum by the RIAA in March 2005 and has sold over 3.4 million copies. All the Right Reasons is the fifth studio album by Nickelback, released on October 4, 2005. The album was the third straight No. 1 album for the band in their native Canada and has sold over seven million copies worldwide.

Bow Wow is the stage name of Shad, born on March 9, 1987 in Columbus, Ohio. He is an American rapper, actor and producer formerly known as Lil’ Bow Wow. His debut album, Beware of Dog was released on September 26,2000 when he was just 13 years old. It features the hit singles "Bounce With Me" and "Bow Wow (That’s My Name). The album went on to generate over two million sales. He followed up that success with the release of his second studio album, Doggy Bag. That album peaked at the number eleven position on the Billboard 200 and generated two singles, Thank You and Take Ya Home. Bow Wow went on to release his third album, Unleashed in 2003. Though it lacked the commercial success of his last two albums, it did go on to peak at number three on the Billboard charts and gain a gold certification. Bow Wow has since released four more albums. These include Wanted (2005), The Price of Fame (2006), Face Off With Omarion(2007) and New Jack City II (2009). Bow Wow has also maintained somewhat of a status as an actor starring in movies such as Roll Bounce and The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.

Papa Roach is a hard rock band that was formed in 1993 in Vacaville, California. It consist of Jacoby Shaddix on lead vocals, Jerry Horton on guitar, Anthony Palermo on drums and Tobin Esperance on bass guitar. In 1997, they released their debut album entitled "Old Friends from Young Years" through Onion Hardcore Records. On April 25, 2000 they released their sophomore album, and their first one through a major label, "Infest". It peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified triple platinum in July of 2001. It spawned three hit singles; "Last Resort", "Broken Home" and "Between Angels and Insects". On June 18, 2002 they released their third album, Lovehatetragedy, which peaked at number two on the Billboard Charts and was certified gold in late 2002. Papa Roach has since released three albums, Getting Away with Murder in 2004, The Paramour Sessions in 2006 and Metamorphosis in 2009. Metamorphisis has spawned two singles, "Hollywood Whore" and "Lifeline". Hollywood Whore was first released as music video single and then was offered for free on the band’s official site. Lifeline has peaked at the number 81 position on the Billboard Hot 100 and at number ninety-five on the Canadian Hot 100.

Keane is an English rock band formed in Battle, East Sussex in 1995. It’s members consist of Tim Rice-Oxley, Tom Chaplin and Richard Hughes. On May 10, 2004, Keane released their debut album, Hopes and Fears in the United Kingdom. It topped the UK album charts upon release, was the best selling British album of 2004, and has since gone eight times platinum. It returned to the top of the charts after winning a BRIT Award for Best Album in February 2005. With almost six million copies sold, it has been ranked the 16th biggest-selling album of the millennium so far in the UK. Keane followed up that success with the release of their sophomore album, Under the Iron Sea in 2006. During its first week on sale in the UK, the album went to number one, selling 222,297 copies. In the United States, the album came in at #4 on the Billboard 200, selling 75,702 units in its first week. As of January 22, the album had sold above 2,690,000 copies worldwide. Keane’s last album was Perfect Symmetry. It was released on October 13, 2008 in the United Kingdom. The album reached number one on the UK Albums Chart on October 19, 2008. It also reached number 7 on the US Billboard 200.

Lily Allen was born on May 2, 1985 in Hammersmith, London, England. She was born the daughter of Welsh-born comedian and actor Keith Allen and English, Portsmouth-born, film producer Alison Owen. Allen told Loveline that, when she was 11, she was singing an Oasis tune in the school playground when a teacher overheard and suggested she use the talent. She took singing lessons with the teacher, Rachel Santesso. She sang at a school play and claimed that the audience was brought to tears at the sight of a troubled young girl doing something good. At that point Lily Allen said she knew that music was something she needed to do. Allen played piano to grade 5 standard and achieved grade 8 in singing. She also played violin, guitar and trumpet as well as being a member of a chamber choir. In 2006, Lily Allen released her debut album, Alright, Still. It was commercially successful in the United Kingdom, having been certified 3× platinum. Alright, Still has sold over 2,600,000 copies worldwide. The album earned a nomination for Best Alternative Music Album at the 50th Grammy Awards. She is released her second studio album, "It’s Not Me, It’s You", in February of 2009.

Tiesto is the stage name of Tijs Michiel Verwest. He was born on January 17, 1969 in Breda, North Brabant, Netherlands. In 2001 he released his first solo album In My Memory which gave him several major hits that launched his career as well as his remix of Delerium’s "Silence" featuring Sarah McLachlan which exposed him to more mainstream audiences. He was crowned the "World’s No.1 DJ" 3 consecutive times by DJ Magazine from 2002 through 2004. On 6 April, 2004 Tiesto released his second studio album entitled Just Be. The album features BT, Kirsty Hawkshaw, and Aqualung on vocals. There is also a remake of Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings. The album’s singles were Love Comes Again, Traffic, Just Be (the title track), and Adagio for Strings. Just after releasing his second studio album Just Be in 2004, at the Summer Olympics he performed live at the opening ceremony in Athens, Greece becoming the first DJ to play live on stage at an Olympics Games. Tiesto has since released two more studio albums which include Parade of the Athletes in 2004 and Elements of Life in 2007. Tiesto is currently working on his next studio album which as of now doesn’t have a title.

Ashlee Simpson was born on October 3, 1984 in Waco, Texas and is the daughter of Joe Truett Simpson and Tina Ann Drew. She is also the younger sister of pop and reality show star Jessica Simpson. An accomplished dancer, Ashlee Simpson began studying classical ballet at the age of three years old, and was admitted to the School of American Ballet in New York City at the age of eleven. After her sister Jessica Simpson landed a record deal, the Simpson family decided to move to Los Angeles, California, where Ashlee began appearing in television commercials and television shows such as Malcolm in the Middle in 2001 and a recurring role on the family drama 7th Heaven. Nicole Scherzinger was born with the quite lengthy name Nicole Prescovia Elikolani Valiente Scherzinger on June 29, 1978 in Honolulu, Hawaii. She is also known by the name Nicole Kea. She was born to a Filipino father and a Russian/Hawaiian mother. Her mother Rosemary was eighteen at the time of Nicole Scherzinger’s birth and lived in an inner city neighborhood. Nicole’s parents separated when she was a baby. The family moved to Louisville, Kentucky when she was only six years old. She studied acting and musical theatre at Wright State University bu abandoned her studies to sing backing vocals for the rock band Days of the New. Nicole Scherzinger appeared on the second album by Days of the New, released in 1999. In 2001, Scherzinger competed in the premiere season of The WB’s television show Popstars, on which she earned a spot in the all-girl pop group Eden’s Crush. She became one of the main vocalists for the group. The band disbanded in 2002. In 2003 Nicole Scherzinger joined the Pussycat Dolls burlesque troupe, who were being re-cast as recording artists. The band’s debut was PCD and it was released in September of 2005. The album has sold in excess of 7 million copies worldwide. From about 2006 until the present day Nicole Scherzinger has been working on her debut album tentatively titled "Her Name Is Nicole". It’s release date hasn’t of yet been set.
